The Grove Street bridge over Route 128 will be closed from April 21 to 8 pm (note time change) on Thursday, April 23. This is an extension over the original schedule due to unforeseen circumstances. See map for closure details. Mass DOT is paving the Grove Street bridge. The bridge will be completely closed, and traffic will be detoured. Local traffic should access their neighborhood from the appropriate side of the bridge.
Bike Walk 'n' Bus Week Friday, May 8 - Sunday, May 17, 2015: A number of free events are being planned for this week including historic walks, guided bike rides, free Lexpress rides, and more! This event is being organized by the Bicycle Advisory Committee, Greenways Corridor Committee, and Safe Routes to School Committee, in conjunction with Town staff to celebrate the many alternative transportation resources available in town.

Harvard's Ash Center recognizes Lexington's program to Increase Asian Residents' Civic Participation as a 2015 Bright Idea in democratic governance.
Attention All Dog Owners: The Town Clerk’s Office reminds all residents who own or keep a dog that annual dog licensing is required by Massachusetts state statute and the General Bylaws of the Town of Lexington. The 2015 dog licensing invoices will be mailed to all dog owners on or about March 13, 2015. License fees are $15.00 for neutered/spayed dogs, and $20.00 for intact dogs (male/female). Dog licenses must be renewed or obtained by Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Additional late fees will be assessed on all licenses not completed by the April 15th deadline. Lexington's Youth Commission is now recruiting new members for the 2015-16 school year. Application deadline is May 15.
